How to Add a Voice Presentation Associated with a Web Page to your Blackboard Vista Site
The Wimba Voice Presentation tool allows you to easily associate an audio file with a web page in any Blackboard Vista course page. The audio file and the website that you select will appear together as one “slide.” Wimba Voice Presentation allows instructors to verbally explain ideas or draw attention to important points that relate to the web pages that they wish to highlight.
To add a Voice Presentation slide to your Blackboard Vista course website:
Make sure that your headset with microphone is attached to your computer, or make sure that your internal microphone is able to adequately record the message that you wish to post.
Log in to your Blackboard Vista course website at cms.bc.edu and click on the “Build” tab in the menu bar at the top of your screen; then click on the “Add Content Link” tab:

From the drop down menu, select “Voice Presentation:”

The “Create Voice Presentation” window will appear; click on “Create Voice Presentation:”

Follow the prompt and enter a title for your Voice Presentation, adjust settings if you prefer, and then click continue. The Voice Presentation Board appears and includes instructions about how to proceed:

Click on the “new” icon:

The compose box will appear. Enter a subject title for your presentation, a URL for the website that you are considering, and then click the red “record” button and speak your message into your microphone:

When you are finishing speaking your message, click the “stop” button:

After you record your message, you may replay it by clicking on the green arrow:

Click the “Post” icon to post your message:

You will now see your posted Voice Presentation audio file alongside the website for which you entered a URL on one “slide:”

Bb Vista automatically inserts an icon for your Voice Presentation on the homepage of your Blackboard Vista course website:

When students click on the icon, they will see the Voice Presentation window alongside the website that you specified; students will have the option to comment on your presentation by clicking on the “comment” icon:

If you wish to save your posted audio file to your desktop, while you are in the Voice Presentation window, click on the “options” icon and then select “Export” from the drop-down menu:

Follow the prompts to save your audio file to your desktop.
