Hello,

This is my hero Jon Lester of the Boston Red Sox. He plays baseball, which
is our National pass time. The reason he is my hero because he was diagnosed
with cancer two years ago and fought through it. He did not decide to give up
his baseball career. Through his perseverance he was able to succeed and get
back to playing baseball. This picture is of him celebrating his first no
hitter this past season, which not many people have done in history. He is one
of the best pitchers in baseball and coming back from cancer makes him even
better. I hope to be just like him when I grow up.
